The Real Powers Behind Zoro’s Left Eye Explained

Hey guys! As we all know a lot of different stuff happened during the time skip. However, the most notable of them was Zoro’s scar, and left eye. We are gonna discuss a theory regarding it by Pirate King Buggy from Orojackson.com. So, let’s begin.

We all know Zoro keeps his left eye closed after the time skip, This raises many questions in our mind like, is he blind or does he have some power behind it?

So, we begin with the first one, is Zoro blind or not? He could’ve been injured during his training with Hawk Eyes.

But, personally if it a scar from Yoru, it would’ve been much bigger. Now, let us assume that he can’t see with his left eye. We will give you some examples of some characters with same type of injuries but they’re not blind.

1 Shanks- We know that the scar on Shank’s left eye is given by Blackbeard and it looks more severe if we compare it to Zoro’s scar and also Shanks can use his left eye without any problem.

2. Dark King Slivers Rayleigh-

Everyone saw and noticed the scars on Rayleigh’s body and eye were almost identical to Zoro’s. The only difference being that Rayleigh had the scar on his right eye and Zoro has it on his left eye. He can perfectly see with his right eye even with his scars.

So, a lot of questions arise, could Zoro have close his eye on purpose? But, why did he keep the other one open? And why would he close his left eye? Nobody knew the secret of Sanji’s left eye until the time skip.

But, after the time skip it is revealed that his left eye is just fine. So, maybe Zoro is doing the same thing? But, tbh that would seem hilarious if he did that.

So, we negate its possibility and move forward with the theory. Look closely at the picture of Luffy on the Volume 27 cover.

You’ll notice that he has closed his left eye and has wings as well, just like the Sky-Islanders. This was drawn on Skypeia arc which was way before the time skip. What could it possibly have to do with Zoro?

Now If you check out Nico Robin in cover of the SBS 26th issue, you’ll see something similar. In this photo as you can see Robin has closed her right eye closed.

She is posing like Zoro’s Asura Ichibugin in which he has six arms and coincidentally Robin also has six arms in this photo. She was also the Devil Child when she was young. So, now let’s add these facts up.

This could mean that Zoro is holding devil fruit powers in his left eye, and Zoro can unleash the Asura’s power once he opens his left eye.

But, how can people hold devil powers inside of them without eating a devil fruit? We have all seen examples of how people can hold devils within them. The first and foremost thing about eating a devil fruit is that it contains a devil inside it.

But, when a human eats the devil fruit, the devil is transferred into body, and the body becomes its container. Also, the infamous family of ‘D’ is known to be the devil.

Sanji and Duval with their curly eyebrows are said to hold a curse or a devil, according to chapter 0. One of Sanji’s fighting techniques is Diable Jambe, which means Devil’s leg in the French language.

Another example is that of Cavendish and his anterior ego of Hakuba. So, without the need of eating a devil fruit , Zoro can hold Asura’s Power. So, where did Asura’s power come from?

Many people have put forward theories saying that it is from his cursed sword. This could be one of the many possibilities that could be correct.

Zoro’s case might be like Cavendish, who can’t control the alterior demon, Habuka. However, Zoro can control his devil unlike him. So, in order to fight at full potential,

Zoro needs to open his left eye.
